Fold- Out Pop-Up Card

This card is sure to "wow" your recipient and make them feel so special. Every time I see one of these cards I can't help but think "oh, that's so cute!" It works great with photos in place of the stamped images... a great gift for family members. And what I like most about it is it can double as a gift card holder. Ya! check out the photos below to see how I tucked the gift card inside. Simply secure the card with paper clips on each side to keep the gift card snug inside. I used little red ones on my card.

This card is so stinkin' easy, I actually thought about not putting pictures with my tutorial. It really is that easy! But pics are always helpful so here ya go...

Photo Folder

You are going to LOVE this fast and fun photo album... oops, I mean PHOTO FOLDER. It uses a plain ole file folder. Can you believe it?! THIS will be the perfect gift for Grandma! OH! Can you just picture it... new baby gift. Oh ya.
*
I used the stamp sets "Autum Harvest," "Full of Life," and "Enjoy Every Moment." The DSP I used can be found in the Holiday Mini Catalog (click on this icon to the right hand side of my blog and it takes you right to the Mini.) This DSP is called "Autumn Vine." I like it because of the Sage Shadow in it. I don't use that color often and this paper is so pretty with it.
*
Would you like to have a project kit of this PHOTO FOLDER? Each kit may be a bit different because of the DSP (Designer Series Paper.) When you place your order by emailing me, you can actually REQUEST a different DSP. I have others and may have the one you prefer for your Photo Folder. Each kit contains all supplies needed (other than adhesive) to create TWO Photo Folders. You will recieve TWO FULL SHEETS of DSP in your kit. When you make your kit request, please ask for the PHOTO FOLDER Kit. These kits are only $15.
*
Whether you order the kits or not, try jumping in and stamp with me this weekend! C'mon! It's easy. Just use the product you have at home and create something you see here during my Virtual Workshop. You can order product from me anytime during the workshop. Send me an email with the items you wish to order. ALL KITS WILL ONLY BE AVAILABLE THROUGH THE END OF THIS SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 30th. So make your request right now and promise to send your payment immediately.

I know you are just dancin' around waiting to find out how to make this super great Photo Folder so I won't keep you from it any longer. Enjoy!

Photo Folder
Supplies:
Designer Series Paper
Coordinating Card Stock (at least 4 sheets of one color and two to three sheets of two or three different colors)
Neutral Card Stock (Whisper White, Very Vanilla, any of that sort)
Ribbon (about 18 to 20")
Plain File Folder
Metal File Fastener
Sticky Strip
Cropadile
*
1. Begin by deciding how much of your folder you want to cover. For mine (shown here,) I used 6" for my bottom panel (both inside and outside.)
2. Trace a different sheet of DSP for the top panel.
3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for inside of the folder.
4. Use Sticky Strip to adhere the ribbon.
5. Cut one sheet of card stock to 5.1/4 x 7. Layer each piece 1/2" smaller in length from that sheet. (ie. the next piece would be 5.1/4 x 6.1/2. then the next would be 5.1/4 x 6. etc.)
6. Score each cut piece of card stock at 3/4".
7. Apply a tiny bit of adhesive to the scored area of each and layer so your photo pages are "stair stepped."
8. Using the metal fastener as a guide, mark where the holes will be punched.
9. Punch through all photo page with a Cropadile.
10.Add metal fastener and cover with a piece of DSP. (measurements will depend on the type of fastener.)
11.Use Sticky Strip on the back side of the last photo page to adhere to Photo Folder.
12.Decorate as desired.

Pop-Up Gift Card HOLDER

This is a super fun (and super easy) way to give your gift cards this Christmas! Look how the little gift card just "pops" right out at you. How fun is that?! It is super easy so let me get on with the deets (details.)

Kits for this project include all supplies needed (except adhesive) to create FIVE Gift Card Holders. Be sure when ordering you request the POP-UP GIFT CARD HOLDER Kits. Please note that the DSP (Designer Series Paper) will be a bit different for each holder per kit. These kits can be purchase for only $10. Email me with your requests.

Pop-Up Gift Card Holder
Supplies:
Designer Series Paper
Coordinating Card Stock (three pieces of two to three different colors)
Ribbon (about 12")
Word Window, Circle Punch (at least 1") Punches
12x12 Cutter and score tool

1. Trim DSP to 4 x 12.
2. Score at 4, 6, and 8.
3. Fold paper to create a "W."
4. Adhere inside portion of scored area EXCLUDING THE CENTER SCORED LINE. This area will be where your gift card is nestled so you want to leave it clear of adhesive.
5. Using Word Window Punch, punch directly 1/2 way onto the center fold. Slightly scoot punch to the left and punch. Repeat to the right to create an opening large enough for your gift card.
6. Punch a 1/2 circle in the center of the previously punched area.
7. Decorate as desired.

I used the stamp set "Snow Swirled" on this holder. I also used the 1/2" Circle Punch to create my tree topper. After punching my tiny star, I added Crystal Effects to give it a shiny star effect. To add my ribbon around the front panel, I simply used a hobby blade to put a small slice in the fold of my holder.

Super Sweet Snowman

What I love most about snowmen is they keep the Christmas Spirit alive long after the holidays are over. I SO enjoy having my snowmen fill my home with the magic of Christmas sometimes until Valentine's Day arrives. They are just so cute and lovable! So what I love about this card is how it can be used well into the new year... thinking of you, warm wishes, miss you, thank you, or just anything your heart desires to say.

Let me tell you how I made the card shown above. Then be sure to check out a slightly different version of the card shown below. There you will also find photos and instructions for that card as well.

For the card above, I used the stamp set "Snow Swirled." I used Ballet Blue, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black and Whisper White card stock. The large snowflake is inked in Whisper White CRAFT Ink. The smaller snowflake is inked in Ballet Blue CRAFT Ink. Both snowflakes are embossed with Iredescent Ice Embossing Powder. (I only embossed the WW ink on my snowman.) The snowmans' cute little head is cut from the Coluzzle. His eyes are punched using the 3/4" circle punch. And I hand cut his cute carrot nose. Easy peasy!

Now, for the card below...
as you can see in the photos, I used my BIG SHOT from Stampin' Up! with my "snow" embossing folder from another company (wink.) There is SO MUCH you can do with the Big Shot. It truly is a valuable investment. (PURCHASE THE BIG SHOT DURING MY VIRTUAL WORKSHOP AND RECIEVE A SIZZLIT DIE FREE.) Check out all Big Shot products in the Mini Holiday Catalog located in the right hand side of my blog.

Emboss the blue AND the white 1/2 circle with the snow folder. Then gently rub the WW Craft Ink over the snowflakes of the blue card stock. Use Ballet Blue Craft Ink to gently rub over his head. Run the Basic Black and Pumpkin Pie through the Paper Crimper. Then punch the eyes and cut the nose. Assembe just like the card above. For the second snowman card I added a tag created with Warm Words and Snow Swirled. I stamped first and then punched with the Tag Punch. Add some silver cord found in the Holiday Mini and you are all set.

Gift Card FOLDER

This Gift Card FOLDER is quite possibly my favorite way to give a gift card. It's just so cute! And really, anything can be put inside... photos, little trinkets, small jewlry. You get the idea.
