With Cheerful Sympathy

It seems I've been having to make
so many sympathy cards lately.
I thought I'd take a break from
the usual "lovely" floral design I usually create
and try a more cheerful look.
*
Here is wishing you and yours a "cheerful" day!

Royal Wednesday Inspiration Blog Hop

You should be hopping over to my place FROM...
but be sure and start from the beginning at...
so you can see everyone's take on the inspiration photo.

When I found this photo for Maria, I just KNEW
it would be fabulous inspiration for the fall season!
Unfortunately, the only fall stamps I have from QKD are of apples.
Sigh... no pumpkins.
I can't wait to see what the rest of the DT puts together!
*
I love the photo.  It's clean and crisp, just like fall.
You can see from my sample,
I decided to pull some of the "not so noticable" items from the photo.
Notice the sweet little teddy bear on the sofa?
And how about those fabulous starfish on the loft beds?
Thus, my card...

Now hop on over TO...
and have fun hopping!

Double Duty Birthday

How's this for a great b-day gift idea...
(if you pass this idea on, please give credit to
Dancing with Stamps.com)
so here it is...
*
Wynne had a b-day party to attend this past Sunday
for her friends Lauren and Evan, twins that is.
She gave them both decorated photo albums
(you know, the ones that cost like $2 at WM
and have the front and back cover inserts?)
Slip out the inserts, measure inserts, cut CS same size, stamp & reinsert.
So stinkin' easy.
*
THEN... Wynne gave them each a camera
to be passed around at the party
for each friend to snap shots from time to time.
*
AND LASTLY... she tucked a $5 bill into each album
for the developing cost of the photos.
How clever is that?!
*
I didn't go overboard on the stamping/embellishing
cuz let's face it... their THIRTEEN!
They aren't going to give a hoot how fab they look, right?!
*
And although the stamp sets I used are retired,
(wish they weren't cuz they're perfect for teens!)
So Sassy and So Cool by SU!
made these albums SO EASY to create!
Just a lesson in "if you want it... ya better get it before it's gone."
*

Email me to place your SU! order today
or place your order online by selecting me as your demonstrator.
(Stamp Club members will recieve club credit
only by placing orders WITH ME.)
*
Have a great year, Lauren and Evan!

This set uses "Autum Harvest" and "Hope Happens"
from the 2009-2010 Idea Book and Catalog.
I also used the Designer Series Paper
"Autumn Traditions."
*
The photo you see below is our club card
"stamped up" a notch by the added hemp twine.
*
Below shows another way to use the Watercolor Crayons.
I will demonstrate this card and technique at club.
Demonstrations begin at 3:00.

I found my inspiration from one of the retired

I LOVED these sheets! (and still do!)
So that is what I plan to share with YOU at club.
One lucky club member will win
a binder with all the inspiration sheets I have available.
(page protectors not included)
Although these sheets focus on retired stamp sets,
the ideas will be FOREVER helpful!

Sweet Season of Friendship

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
My dear friend, Kara, sent me this
AMAZING card of friendship.
I can't say "thank you" enough, Kara.
You made my day! No, wait! My week!
*
This set is called "Season of Friendship"
and I am so glad it made it into the
new Idea Book and Catalog!
I used Kara's set when we were at a retreat
and fell in love with how easy it is to use.
*
Would you look at what Kara
used for her little birdy's nest?!
Is that not the most adorable thing you've seen?!
It's GOLD CORD wrapped around a GLUE DOT!
Clever Kara!
*
Leave a comment if you've enjoyed this tip.
It would be so sweet for Kara to see your
words of encouragement!

Still...

Still thinking of my
dear neice and her sweet husband.
The butterfly just says it all.
We can be beautiful reminded
that Christ's resurrection
is the forefront of our own.
*
Thank you to those of you who left comments.
Especially those who shared similar stories.
You've blessed me!
Please keep my brother and his wife
in your prayers.
*
I love what this card says because
I truly believe my neice
will be that person for her very own family.
We can not "pray" our loved ones
into salvation BUT
we can certainly pray FOR them.
*
Butterfly kisses to you today!

Always...

Lifting my sweet niece, her dear husband,
my brother and sister in law
in prayer today.
The loss of a child, no matter what the age,
is such a sad and confusing time.
*
Just as the butterfly is recognized
as a symbol of Christ's resurrection,
I have no doubt this little babe
has flown straight into
the arms of God.
*
Please lift my family in your prayers today.
*
And if you are weary
or have a burden too heavy to carry,
know that He is waiting for YOU.
Matthew 11:28-30
"Come to me, ALL you who labor
and are heavy burden, and I will give you rest."
*
Grab a Bible and you read the rest.
Afterall, it's HIS love letter to you
not mine.

Cards and Coffee

Here are some of the cards created
at the most recent
Cards and Coffee
stamping event.
*
Since it was just me stampin',
I was able to crank out
20 cards in just 40 minutes.
Imagine what we can do
with a few more stampers!
*
Do you have 30 to 40 minutes
to donate to a great cause?
*
If you are in the area,
be sure to keep an eye on
my calendar of events
here in the right hand side bar
for the next
Cards and Coffee
always at
Coffee Crossing on Charlestown Rd.
*
The cards we create
will always be CAS cards.
(Clean and Simple)
This way, ANY level stamper
can join in and help us stamp up
a ton of cards for a great cause!
*
The designated cause
for these cards is
our TROOPS.
These cards will be sent to
our local troops serving overseas
to send back to their loved ones.
*
PLEASE consider joining me for the next
Cards and Coffee.
